The woods of this area are part of the Salland Ridge and plenty of areas where you can take your dog for a walk. This way your dog can get rid of his energy and romp around with other four-legged friends. Tip: Park your car at De Uitkijk Estate and start the 4.4-kilometre walk from there. The estate is only 9 kilometres from Hof van Salland. Our park is pet friendly and on request you may bring no more than one pet per cottage along.

Are you and your partner real hiking enthusiasts, but for the kids it's not not that great experiencing nature? Thanks to the gnome path in Hellendoorn that's a thing of the past. With this path, hiking becomes a party for the kids. Paint their cheeks bright red go to the Sallandse Heuvelrug Outdoor Centre. There, they can experience a journey on a nature trail complete with knapsack and gnome book. Listen to a story from the book, complete gnome assignments and find out which way to walk. Sounds like a perfect family outing, right? Hof van Salland is a holiday park near the Salland Ridge. Thanks to its unique location at this nature reserve there are many picturesque hiking trails waiting to explore. Enjoy the tranquillity and nature on a route through the vast heathlands, because that's what this nature reserve is famous for. But did you know you'll also find 26 mountains here? That makes this national park ideal for a challenging hike. The Holterberg is one of these mountains and is a perfect starting point for a great hike. Start your day with a cup of coffee at a restaurant and then walk into the Holterberg Nature Museum. Here you can buy maps with routes. We recommend the Heidemars. This is a long hike of over 15 kilometers that takes you through the alternating nature of this area.

Another nature reserve where you will find the most picturesque hiking trails of Hellendoorn is the Lemelerberg Nature Reserve. The Lemelerberg is in fact a moraine created more than 150,000 years ago. Today, you can walk here through heathlands, over sand drifts and through forests. And did you know you can even admire a flock of sheep here? We recommend the hiking route of almost 20 kilometres. You won't miss a single gem of nature in Lemelerberg on this hike. Extra nice is that you can just start from our holiday park near Lemelerberg. The nature reserve is only 5 kilometers away from Hof van Salland.
