Why a cancellation fund?
Before or during your vacation, situations may occur at any time that require you to cancel your vacation. For example, you or one of your travel companions may fall ill or something may happen in your private life.

Why opt for the Hof van Salland cancellation fund?
You can take out a cancellation fund, but another option is to participate in the Hof van Salland cancellation fund. The costs are nearly the same, but with our fund you can, if something unexpected happens, save a lot of time and effort.

Cancellation fund coverage
To qualify for reimbursement, a cancellation must be caused by one of the following events:

• Death or serious illness or aggravation of an existing illness or serious accidental injury of a 1st or 2nd degree relative;
• In case of early termination of your vacation due to death of a 1st or 2nd degree relative;
• In case of early termination of the vacation due to fire, storm damage or lightning strike to your home or belongings;
• Involuntary unemployment occurring after the reservation was made;
• When you need to undergo a medically necessary procedure unexpectedly;
• Breakdown of your marriage or dissolution of a notarized cohabitation contract;
• The unexpected availability of a rental home or unexpected relocation, such as renovation or change of employment;
• Complications during a pregnancy;

In the event of early termination of the vacation for the above reasons, a percentage of the total vacation cost (less cancellation fund costs and administration fees) will be refunded in proportion to the number of vacation days not enjoyed.

Cancellation fund costs
The cost of participation in the cancellation fund is 6.5% of the total rent. The terms and conditions shall apply at all times.

How to proceed in case of cancellation?

• Tell us about the event as soon as possible. In case of verbal notification, a written notification is also required.
• You are required, if we ask, to provide a written and signed statement of the occurrence, nature and reason for the cancellation.

The contribution from the cancellation fund can never be more than what you have paid to Hof van Salland reduced by the participation costs in the cancellation fund. Within one week after having received your written confirmation of cancellation, you will hear whether your appeal to the cancellation fund has been declared valid.
